DA NANG — Trung Nam Land Joint Stock Co has selected Trung Nam E&C Co as the general contractor for the first phase of its US$1.6-billion Golden Hills City project, under a contract signed in the central city of Da Nang on Thursday.
Trung Nam E&C will develop infrastructure for the project at a total cost of about VND1.25 trillion ($64 million).
The project, in Da Nang's Lien Chieu District, will include homes and villas, a golf course, a marina, entertainment and shopping centres, a hospital and an international school on a total area of 400ha, with 30 per cent of the area to be reserved for green space or water surfaces.
The US firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill was selected to design the project.
On Thursday, Trung Nam Land also contracted with Phu Tai and Nhat Minh companies to supply granite and landscaping, with a combined value of about VND220 billion ($11.3 million). Trung Nam Land also signed a memorandum of understanding with Da Nang Telephone Co to provide telecommunications facilities for the new urban area.
"We see prospects for tourism development in Da Nang and want to contribute," said Trung Nam Land general director Nguyen Hoang Man. "This project marks a first step in our long-term strategy for the city's real estate market."Source: vnagency.com.vn
