Companies including Indochina Land, CapitaLand, Grand Capital, PVC Hong Ha, Venesia, NovaLand, and Havana will display their properties at the center.
"The centre is about encouraging the whole industry to work together rather than the common method of closing doors to outside agents in fear of losing a sale," Ross Lightfoot, Head of Residential Sales and Marketing for Knight Frank Vietnam said.
Oil and gas companies to be audited
HA NOI — The Viet Nam State Audit and its Russian counterpart will jointly examine the operations of their two oil and gas businesses, Vietsovpetro and Rusvietpetro.
The work would take place during the first and second quarters of next year, the Vietnamese office said.
The Vietsovpetro joint-venture will have its operations from 2008 to February 2011 audited while the Rusvietpetro Joint-stock Company will have its 2008 to May 2011 period audited.
This was part of the co-operation programme between the two State audit agencies, the office said.
Final reports would be submitted to Ha Noi in the first quarter of 2011 and Moscow in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, the two agencies had also audited State budget spending and inspected the supervision of fish and seafood safety procedures.
Garment plant opens in Bac Giang
HA NOI — Viet Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) opened its US$1.7 million-Son Dong Garment Plant in northern Bac Giang province on Wednesday.
After eight months'work, five production lines are in operation. The plant will generate 350 jobs for 350 local workers and 110 vocational trainees.
VN lures 4.6m visitors in 11 months
HA NOI — About 4.6 million foreigners visited Viet Nam in the first 11 months of the year, exceeding the whole year's target of 4.2 to 4.5 million.
The number of foreign visitors is already 36.5 per cent more than for the same period last year.
Visitors mainly came from mainland China, South Korea, the United States, Taiwan, Japan and Thailand.
Retail gas prices rise to all-time high
HA NOI — Gas companies increased the retail price of gas by VND38.000 (US$1.9) per canister on Wednesday.
The rise, the seventh since the start of the year, was attributed to the increase in global gas prices in December.
The price per tonne is now $925, the highest-ever retail price for gas.
Packaging firms to attend fair
HCM CITY — Fifteen Vietnamese packaging firms will take part in Interpack, an international processing and packaging materials fair to be held next May in Dusseldorf, Germany, an industry official said.
Ho Duc Lam, vice president and general secretary of the Viet Nam Plastics Association, said Rang Dong, RKW-Lotus, Duy Tan, Dai Dong Tien, and Bac Hai were among the 15 companies but he expected more to join.
At the previous event two years ago, Vietnamese firms won contracts worth around US$1 million.
Bernd Jablonowski, managing director of Interpack, said the fair, to be held from May 12 to 18, would represent an entire value-added chain from the production and processing of packaging products and materials, through packing and distribution, to quality control and consumer protection.Source: vnagency.com.vn
